Passport to Safer Birth – Service Design work launches in Uganda

Posted by | November 24, 2014 | Uganda

Today the BOLD Passport to Safer Birth objective was launched in Uganda during a breakfast meeting that gathered stakeholders and teams from around the country, who will be participating in and supporting the activities. The project launch was honoured by the presence of Hon. Sarah Opendi, State Minister of Health for Primary Care in Uganda, who inaugurated the study and highlighted the need for innovation in reducing maternal mortality in Uganda. She endorsed the service design approach for holistically identifying opportunities and solutions for change.
Tomorrow the service design team of M4ID will start their community based design research activities identifying barriers to, perception of and solutions to better quality of care for facility based delivery.
We are thankful of receiving so much enthusiasm and support along this way and looking forward to sharing the process with everyone.
